Description
This little de-airing pugmill has served me well, saving lots of time wedging clay! No additional time needed to wedge. It handled a very large porcelain tile commission. It's great for reclaiming clay as well.Good for processing less than 700 lbs of clay/month. I no longer use one type of clay so I'm letting it go. It has been assiduously cleaned on the inside (see picture of stainless steel shaft and blades). There may be some residual porcelain on the inside; some of the aluminum housing has some pits from the cleaning. The pits shouldn't really impair its functioning. Bluebird says the aluminum is cast and so it slightly porous. The end has holes where you can attach dies for extruding forms! I was able to extrude border corner tile with the pug for another commission.
There is a chain welded on if you need to lock up the pugmill in classroom or other public settings.
It comes with an air compressor for de-airing the clay. Both runs off of a regular 115V outlet. The pugmill is 1/3 Hp.
Also comes with a manual! For local pickup only, it's too heavy and unwieldy to ship. The retail price is 00, and so this comes with a great discount!
