    Description

    For sale is
    your choice
of a rare vintage POTTER & BRUMFIELD hermetically sealed 4PDT Plug-in Relay, # MH 5516.   It was left behind in the electronic components inventory of my late father.   He was an Army Signal Corps Radio School instructor during the War, was an active and avid HAM radio operator for over 70 years, and was a radio and other electronics serviceman for much of his life.   (I would guess that these are government surplus.)   His components were stored in a dry, smoke-free home.
I do not know if these are new old stock, scuffed from moving around in the cabinet, or if they were used.   My husband knows relays from his work with Allen-Bradley relays, so he tested and researched these relays for me.   This is what he found:
Hermetically sealed, 14-pin, 4-pole, double throw, plug-in relay with locator pin.   (The circle symbol for the locator pin is wearing off on #2.)

    Condition
:   As found, as is, as photographed.   Relays exhibit age-related wear from handling and storage (see  photographs).   Seller does not know if the relays are used or new old stock.   Coil has about 9,000-ohm resistance; and the Normally Closed (NC) contacts all exhibit continuity.   Seller did not apply electrical power to the relays.
I hope that one or both of these relays would be just the thing you were looking for to finish your vintage electronics project!   Or, I hope that you would just like to have it for YOUR electronics components inventory!!   If you have a choice of either #1 or #2, please let me know.   Otherwise, I will choose one to send.   If you would like both, I will send the second one free of additional shipping charge.   Put the items in My Cart, request a total, and
