LGB NEW White Pass & Yukon Route CUSTOM Container Flat Car Metal Wh 41860 Or Box

Description

This is the Special Run Custom LGB Ore Container Flat Freight Car as used by and lettered for the
White Pass & Yukon Route.  This celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the 1896
Forty Mile River Gold Discovery, as in the onset of the Alaskan Gold Rush -
the original reason for the Railroad to be constructed.
The car is Brand New, never Run, and has been upgraded with Metal Wheels and
LGB Knuckle Couplers.
These were early containers custom built for the Railroad so Mineral Ores could be brought down from the mines near White Horse and then easily off loaded from the trains at Skagway.
The top lids are removable.
It took the lower 48 Railroads a long time to catch up with this
type of containerized rail transport system.
Note the tabs as shown to hold the containers in place, and the containers can be removed !
This is the REAL LGB, proudly made In West Germany !
This includes the ORIGINAL BOX, also in excellent shape, and the parts package
with grab irons, etc. and packing as shown.
I pack carefully and ship quickly, and have earned my high feedback rating over the past 20 years.
I prefer to ship via USPS Priority or FEDEX, which includes Tracking and Insurance.

Free local pick up / delivery is always another option.
I have found I have excess cars and locomotives for my reduced indoor layout, since our outdoor layout was removed quickly as Hurricane SANDY approached.
