    Description

Rare original antique print from an 1890s French illustrated journal.
It depicts a comparison of two English or French Pointer dogs. The right shows the "New Type": (and by new the mean 1890s when the print was made). The left dog is named Banjo and is of the "Old or Ancient Type."
The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture fills about half the page and measures about 8.5 x 5.5 inches, with a French caption below and unrelated text around it. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
