Dog Braque Francais Pyrenees French Pointer, 1870s Antique Engraving Print

Description

You are bidding on a very rare original antique engraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal.
It depicts what I believe to be a beautiful French Pointer (Braque Francais of type Pyrenees, French Pointing Dog, Pyrenees Type, Braque Francais, de Grande Taille).
The caption reads:  Braque francais de l'ancienne race
which roughly translates to:  French
pointer of the ancient race [and we are talking "ancient" as it was seen in the 1870s!]
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture area is about
7.5 x 5.5 inches (19 x 14 cm), with a French caption below and text above it. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
