Kawasaki KX250 MOTOCROSS RACER

Mechanically sound bike but cosmetically challenged. This bike needs a COSMETIC restoration.
1989 would be the last MX bikes that Kawasaki built with conventional forks. First year for 19" rear wheel also.
This is the '89 model which was the last year for 'conventional' forks, but the ONLY year for the fantastic KYB 46mm forks. These forks were so good that most magazine articles preferred these units to the first 3 years of inverted forks. It would take 3 years for inverted forks to surpass these 'last of the conventional' KYB's.

NOW ABOUT THIS BIKE: It has been
mechanically
restored including rebuilt forks and shock. I do not know what bore this cylinder is on currently, but motor runs super strong and looks very clean when inspecting through exhaust ports.
Motor runs fantastic and shifts perfectly. Very, very strong. Frame painted wrong color. Plastic in great shape, and radiator shrouds / graphics look new. Aftermarket Clark tank with integral radiator shrouds---holds extra fuel.
Front forks rebuilt with new seals and oil. Rear shock has been professionally rebuilt w/new: seal head - bumper - oil - nitrogen. Gas tank is aftermarket desert high capacity type. Answer bars and bar hold-down clamp.
Pro-Circuit pipe and silencer has a few very small dings but ovrall in very good shape. Original wheels and rims are very straight with no dings that I could find. Frame & subframe very straight w/no issues or bends. No dents in frame cradle underneath due to plastic skid plate installed.. Tires are at 80-90%.  Bars, cables, grips, foot pegs all in very good shape.
