Built from 1983 through 2004, the KX 500 is considered by many to be the best big bore two strokes ever built.
ABOUT THIS BIKE: First year 'Works Replica' watercooled 500 engine, and only year for these specific ft/rr fenders. Next year's KX lineup model would change drastically, but some say the '85 is the easiest model for restorers to make a true 'works replica' from (blue frame, bars, etc.) Nice DeBruiser bar pad. Great tires. Excellent wheels with NO dings. Fredette Racing aluminum chain guide.
Great compression, great spark, very nice Pro Circuit chrome pipe with DG rear silencer. Original silencer. All plastics are ORIGINAL oem Kawasaki including small fuel TANK in great shape. Newer seat cover. Rear shock feels pretty good but will probably need a nitrogen charge. Engine does turn very smoothly. Forks & shock will most likely need to be rebuilt.
Bike is very dirty and will need a TOTAL RESTO so please buy accordingly. Possibly missing some small parts. Please ASK QUESTIONS before buying or making offer. USE ZOOM FEATURE when viewing photos. I can totally restore this bike for you. Cost of bike when
